Developing Commercially Scalable Smart Devices and Medical Devices

Macquarie University, in partnership with the NSW Smart Sensing Network, will be hosting an industry seminar with Genesys Electronics Design. The seminar will focus on the process of translating technologies with embedded electronics into commercially scalable devices. The program of the event is as follows:

Smart devices for general use – 45 minutes (including Q&A)

This part of the seminar introduces the commercialisation of electronics hardware and associated software. The key takeaway will be an appreciation of the importance of early engagement with an experienced commercial electronics designer and what information there is to exchange with them to smooth the product development process.

Small break (20-30 minutes)

Smart devices for medical use - 45 minutes (including Q&A)

This topic introduces the commercialisation of electronic medical devices, with a focus on how the regulations relate to engineering design processes. The key takeaway will be an appreciation of the commercial imperatives to consider early in the product development process.

The seminar will be delivered by Geoff Sizer, the CEO of Genesys Electronics Design.
