Sharing Sensitive and Identifiable Human Data

The ARDC Leadership Series is a new event series providing decision makers with an opportunity to work through big data challenges.

Sharing sensitive data between industry and research sectors can be challenging. Trust, risk management, competitive advantage and intellectual property rights are all significant hurdles to navigate when sharing sensitive data. Sensitive data can’t be shared openly for legal and/or ethical reasons and is often subject to specific conditions when reused due to the significant risk it poses to the research subjects (humans, endangered species, etc).

Providing solutions for sharing sensitive data will reduce delays in time-limited projects, increase the return on investment of research, create positive impacts on project outputs, and benefit the Australian public as a whole.

Join us in a scenario-driven panel session where key influencers and decision makers will respond to these challenges by highlighting benefits, identifying blockers and enablers, and testing the appetite for a coordinated approach among Australian research organisations, using a specific exemplar case study.

If you are responsible for strategic direction, decision-making, and resource allocation within your research organisation, this series is designed for you and we would love to have your involvement and input.
