Ellen Gorissen
Ellen Gorissen is a technology commercialisation leader and expert who has more than 25 years’ experience in strategy, business development, technology commercialisation and venture capital.
She has held senior commercialisation, investment and advisory roles at Australia’s Economic Accelerator, IP Group Australia, HB11 Energy, CSIRO and ANSTO and is Co-Founder and Investor at Jovian Tech, a company developing advanced sensing technologies to support decarbonisation and the transition to renewable fuels.
Throughout her career, Ellen has helped bring emerging technologies to market, raised significant early-stage capital, and worked across global corporations, government entities, research and development institutions, and start-up ecosystems.
She has extensive governance experience, having served as a CSIRO Nominee Director on multiple technology spin-out company boards and as a member of the Uniseed Investment Committee.
Ellen was recently appointed to the Research and Development Incentives Committee (RDIC), which operates under delegation from Industry Innovation and Science Australia.
A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), she holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Honours) from the University of Queensland.
