Dr Enbang Li
Dr Enbang Li is a physicist and researcher at the University of Wollongong, where he is an Associate Professor in the School of Mathematics and Physics and a member of the Centre for Medical Radiation Physics. His career spans more than three decades across universities, research institutes and industry in Australia and China, including professorial and research roles at the University of Sydney’s CUDOS laboratory, Tianjin University and Nankai University, as well as earlier appointments at Tianjin University, the University of Wollongong, and JDS Uniphase in Sydney.
Dr Li’s research spans photonics, medical radiation physics and biomedical engineering. He has extensive expertise in photonic sensing, laser diagnostics and optical instrumentation, as well as the development of non‑reciprocal optical systems for advanced photonic technologies. His current research includes investigations into photon–gravitational field interactions; the design and application of fibre‑optic and scintillator‑based dosimeters for high‑precision radiation measurement in medical treatments; and AI and IoT enabled electronic and photonic sensing technologies supporting safety and health applications in mining.
He has authored and co‑authored numerous peer‑reviewed publications across photonic sensing, medical physics and radiation measurement, and holds 35 granted patents in photonic sensing and optical instrumentation.
