Tara Croft
Tara Croft has more than 20 years’ experience across MedTech and has built a career focused on translating innovative technologies into real-world impact. She is CEO of Baymatob, where she leads the development of a smart sensing and AI-enabled early warning system designed to improve maternal and foetal health outcomes.
Tara previously played a pivotal role in the growth of Nanosonics, helping transform the company from an early-stage startup into an ASX200-listed global MedTech success story valued at more than $2.4 billion.
A passionate advocate for innovation and entrepreneurship, Tara has extensive experience building partnerships between researchers, industry, investors and government and has fostered the collaborations needed to bring emerging technologies to market.
She serves on the BioNSW MedTech and MTAA Women in MedTech Committees, mentors technology founders and emerging leaders, and lectures in innovation, commercialisation and biomedical industry practice at the University of Technology Sydney, where she created the Biomedical Industry Frameworks course.
Tara holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Medical Science from UTS, an Executive MBA from UNSW’s Australian Graduate School of Management and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
In 2025, she was recognised as UTS Engineering Alumni of the Year.
