NSW Smart Sensing Network (NSSN) will attend Venture Cafe’s Australia Burns to contribute to the conversation around new approaches to mitigating and preventing bushfires.
To date a reported 27 people have tragically lost their lives, 25m+ acres of land has been destroyed, over 2,000 homes decimated with an emergency response from over 2,700 firefighters and 3,000 ADF reservists.
In 2020, Venture Cafe Sydney have dedicated Thursday 30 January and Thursday 6 February to kick-start a collaborative movement to bring together researchers, investors, entrepreneurs, government and practitioners in a conversation around new approaches to mitigating and preventing bushfires.
