Natural Hazards and Smart Cities Theme Lead at the NSW Smart Sensing Network, Peter Runcie, will kick off the Australian Smart Communities Association's Webinar Series for 2024 on Thursday 14th March from 12 - 1pm.  
 
Peter will discuss his recent trip to Barcelona for the Smart City World Expo and travel around Spain. He will also discuss insights gained from several recent smart city projects throughout his career.   
 
Some of these projects include: 
·      best practises for local government’s use of IoT environmental sensors 
·      an initiative aimed at increasing the adoption of smart infrastructure  
·      urban heat and vulnerability in communities
