Ambitious NSW: Sensing the Future of NSW Industry

  • Western Sydney University: Parramatta City Campus Level 9, 169 Macquarie Street Parramatta, New South Wales, 2150 Australia (map)

The NSW Industry Policy and NSW Innovation Blueprint identify three missions critical to the future of the state: advanced manufacturing, housing and net zero. Smart sensing has an important role to play in delivering on each of these priorities.

This interactive workshop will bring together leaders from industry, government and research to explore how world-leading smart sensing research can be translated into practical solutions that support these missions.

Hosted by the NSW Smart Sensing Network (NSSN), the workshop will showcase the power of collaboration across government, industry and universities to accelerate innovation and create real-world impact for New South Wales.

Through facilitated discussions and co-design activities, participants will identify key industry and government challenges, uncover opportunities for innovation, and develop the foundations for future collaborative research and development projects. These projects will be designed to attract investment from industry, government and competitive grant programs, helping turn research into practical outcomes.

Whether you are from industry, government or academia, this workshop is an opportunity to help shape the next generation of smart sensing technologies that will drive a more innovative, productive and sustainable NSW.
