The Performance and Expertise Research Centre (PERC) at Macquarie University is hosting the inaugural Emergency Services and Defence Human Performance Forum on Tuesday 24 November at Macquarie University.
The forum will bring together senior leaders from emergency services, Defence, government, healthcare, industry, and academia to address a shared challenge: how organisations develop, support, and sustain people who must perform effectively in complex, high-pressure environments.
It aims to accelerate collaboration by connecting organisations facing complex human performance challenges with the expertise and research capability needed to help solve them, translating those challenges into practical outcomes and future capability.
The day will feature panels and presentations from senior leaders and operational staff, alongside experts in human performance, workforce capability, and operational readiness, providing a catalyst for discussion, collaboration, and future partnerships across sectors operating in high-consequence environments.
Shane Fitzsimmons AO is the opening keynote speaker, alongside industry contributors from organisations including the Australian Federal Police, Fire and Rescue NSW, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, Defence Science and Technology Group, St John of God Health Care and the NSW Ministry of Health. Additional speakers will be announced shortly.
